About Hoomai

Hoomai was started as a fun little idea by me one day while sitting on an airplane. I was reading a book called "You, Inc." that talks about how you come off to other people. It got me thinking about how I make other people feel.

I wanted to let people tell me honestly what type of friend I was so that I could make changes in myself if necessary. I had already built Spillr with my friend James, so I was pretty comfortable with the anonymous questions game. I used the same engine to make sure that this entire site is anonymous. None of your answers are tied to your secret ID and even if you asked me to go back and find out what you'd said, I wouldn't be able to do it.

Since this is all just getting started, I'm not sure if it's going to work but I am willing to give it a shot. Worst case scenario, I might find out that only 27% of my friends would lend me money.
